As the title suggests, Tom Bancroft visited my school this past weekend.
What an inspirational (And funny) guy.
I missed his presentation Saturday cause I had to work, but I caught his intro on Friday which was really nice.
I"m glad I went since I almost didn't go...
Anywhoises.
I've started the Inkober thing...Every day through the month of Octorber, you draw a small simple (well...simple if you want) sketch in ink.
Its a lot of fun and has forced me to stay loose with my drawing and not linger on a single line.
More art work to come!

Sketch Book Post
As Promised...Some old sketch book "Scans"
And by scans I mean photos
Some of these are old...I think they're in order from oldest to newest with the older ones on top...
I think!
Some of these are just doodles, others are character exploration for a personal project. This batch is mostly from the summer.

Bloggers really updated
I suppose I should update my blog too xD
I've forgotten all about my blog and have stuck with Tumblr and instagram to post my work. (Along with Behance for a more professional portfolio work)
But I've found that having a journal is nice but I also like putting my work in my journal...Sorta like a memento of what I've done and how much I've grown.
I suppose what I'm trying to get at is that having a blog where I can both post my work and a little bit of my life. (Apparently people really dig that kind of stuff)
I'll post my instagram and Tumblr links here and post my works later tonight!

Megacon Fun and Experience
This past weekend was Megacon (Held in Orlando Florida)
I haven't been to a convention in a long while and the last one was Otakon back home.
So It was really exciting to go to a con again.
This time, I cosplayed as three characters!!!
That was interesting since I've never cosplayed before but I love designing and creating costumes.
Friday night we ran into a lot of traffic so we couldn't make it to the floor, but we still went to the convention center where me and my friend dressed up as DC comic characters. She was Batgirl and I was Zatanna the Magician.
Saturday was the BIG day. THere was so many people but I was still able to do and see things I was hoping to do.
I dressed up as Korra from the Legend of Korra (Book 2).
That day I also was privileged enough to see one of my favorite actors, Steven Yeun from Walking Dead (Glen). He is also the voice actor of Avatar Wan in Legend of Korra.
I was super excited and very nervous meeting him. He is one of the most relaxed and friendliest celebrities I have ever met!
And he instantly recognized my cosplay and was really excited when he greeted me (I was so starstruck I'm surprised I was able to say hello and thank you)
I got a picture with him and it pretty much made my weekend.
Later I was also able to meet Cosplay idols Yaya Han and Riddles.
Both ladies are stunning in person and super sweet!
Sunday was our last day and was Disney day.
My friend dressed up as Snow White and I dressed up as Elsa from Frozen.
It wasn't an exact replica of her dress because I was basing it off of several other cosplay references as well as few fan arts.
I got a lot of mixed responses.
Most of the reactions were quiet positive to say the least; many people commented on how beautiful it was and had a wedding dress quality to it.
My "negative" response was mostly from those who cosplayed from Frozen as well. (IE The other Elsa's) Needless to say, there were a lot of icy stares (Excuse the pun)
Despite that, I am very happy of my Elsa cosplay as well as my other cosplays.
This weekend was so much fun and it reminded me how much I love going to cons.
I was also exposed to a lot of wonderfully talented artists.
Definitely motivated me to go and create art when I got back.
More posts to come!
