Happy New Year!

In the spirit of recalling the year. I decided to do a look back on my art. 
I’m really happy that despite all the negative thoughts in my own head…I can see some progression in my art. 

It really does go to show that if you're determined you can make progress.
Though my art may not be as noticeable or great as many of the great artist out there, i think its a good think to take pride in your work. They're your babies after all xD

Having said this, i'm so happy with the growth of my own art. It's been a heck of a ride and since this year was all about experimenting and learning how to use photoshop and paint, I'd like to say that I learned a lot. 

But I still have a lot more to learn of course and I'm excited to learn more!
I’m really happy to see the growth and look forward to the kind of growth I’ll have in the coming year. 
We shall see!

Winter Break Catch up

Whew!
I'm sorry, wasn't it just August the last time I posted here?
Okay maybe September, but the point it, since when did it become FIVE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS?!
Time sure does fly when you are busy!

Anyways, its that time of year again when I simply post a TON of pictures of the work I have accomplished this semester.
And as an added bonus, I've started a photo minor! So on top of my Animation Major, I shall studying the art of Photo-graphy ;)

This semester has really all been about growth. And not just me as an artist, but me as a person. Me as an artist, I'm beginning to better understand myself as far as my strengths and my weaknesses. I'm finding that I'm letting a lot of my weaknesses get the best of me and it causes me to doubt myself. Everything from trying to works to posting it for people to see and hopefully get some feedback from. I have some how allowed myself to be wrapped up in this really tight bubble and refuse to let anyone see my work. Which is sad.
I feel like I could grow and get a lot better if I wasn't so shy err--Self-conscious is the better word, about my work. I need to take some pride in my pieces and take each comment and advice as a growth method.

Anyways I don't wana get too deep and sentimental. Here's some photography pieces I worked on this semester.

Early Summer Works

The whole updating was fast I know.
I have a few things I'm willing to put up.
This was all done early summer. Pretty much when the semester ended and I had free time.
Some gesture drawings (5min each for the smaller ones and 10min for the larger one) The color one was about 1 hour and 30min.

Final Count Down

Hello All!
Long time no post
I apologies, I've been rather busy

But here i am! Back again with a few drawings and sketches. 

I won't be posting any videos up will the end of the semester: My sit stand assignment is taking up much of my time and I really would like to do well on it. So All my extra spare time is begin up into that.
On the flip side however, because I am slowling become burned out with my assignment, I've been finding time/an excuse in class to do digital painting drawings and sketches of anatomy. 

Its a nice break from staring at a computer screen. 

Hehehe

Now ...On to the art!!!

Starting off with my first piece that i am proud of.
The definition of my Spring Break: League of Legends. I usually play as Ashe but I tried Ahri and I love her as much as Ashe. 

So while practicing my digital painting skills, I drew her. 

 Some more environment and still pieces.
The flower is memory of my Grandma: She passed away a year ago and I gave it as a gift to my dad to help him through the hard time.

 And we'll finish off with my one of my favorite Dreamworks characters: Jack Frost (Actually I think he's my favorite above Hiccup!)

Spring Break part 1

Hello!
Hope everyone has been doing well and having a good week.
I'm actually wrapping up a very restful Spring Break. It sucks that its only a week long and we'll be starting classes again come Monday.

Hence my little comic above.
Sleeping till noon everyday for the last few days has been wonderful. So I am not looking forward to that 8:30am class Monday.

Still I managed to get a few things done!

 Like some sketches!
I have more feet sketches but I don't know where I saved them ^^;
And feet have been one of my...scary I don't know if i can manage them deals. So these have been great practice.

I also tried out some digital painting as well!
My first digital painting still life!
It really taught me a lot about value and lighting.

 I also finished my CA turn around character sheet!
This is Chang-Min!
I will have a Sculpy version of him up and posted shortly. I would like to bake him first before I take photos.

And finally an old character piece I had saved. I've been meaning to post this but I haven't. I believe its watercolor/ ink base. I miss this medium...

And finally I shall leave you with this silly comic.
I had this drawn up back when Rise of the Guardians was first released in theaters. I just never had time to scan it and clean it up.

WIP

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!!

Here are just some WIP i have for my concept class. I'll be posting a lot more things in the coming week!

Below are my three story-telling pitch images for our next concept assignment.

Valentine Battle: Two girls race across the classroom to reach their goal: The same guy

Prep Do's and Don'ts: A girl is attempting to prepare for a special occasion. She is trying all sorts of clothes and hair-style, not realizing that simple is always better. 

Lucky 7: A casino waitress is just fired from her job and soon after finds a Twenty dollar bill. With nothing to lose, she  hits the tables where her luck begins to go up!

And finally a WIP of my Sit/Stand character for Computer Animation

Rise of the Gaurdians Doodles

I can't wait for this movie to come out on DVD!!!

I love this movie. Easily one of my top three favorite movies produce by Dreamworks.

Its a shame it didn't do very well box office wise. 

Still, it has lots of fans!
